The myth of Aratony
By Arantza Paz Ramirez

Aratony was the most precious crystal in all of Strawberry Fields. People from far and near came to admire the great crystal, perplexed by it's immense beauty. Even the all mighty Queen Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds and King Jabooboo came from the distant galaxy of Abbey Road. However not everyone loved the Aratony crystal. There was a gang called The Stones that decided to rid of the unique crystal forever. The Stone that Rolled fired laser lemons at the Aratony! Oddly enough, not even the powerful Black Birds forced could control the mischievous quartet. Oh, how the people wept for the Aratony! Suffently all movement ceased and an ear blasting "COO COO KA CHOO" was heard. The Aratony was seen exploding in a bajillion pieces, ! Flying left and right! Reverend Shabooty Floncaya, who witness this, exclaimed "Words are flowing like rain drops into paper cups, they slip away they pass across the universe..." And where the pieces for the Aratony landed, new life bloomed.

Justice
By Paulina Fernandez Garza
The world is rotting since
Justice was unblinded, chained, and forced to declare a superior race. No longer can she not see the difference in skin. No longer can she not hear the difference in tongues. No longer can she stand straight and not lean towards a nation. We have lost all sense of who Justice truly is. We have morphed her into a biased person. Causing prejudices to rule and depriving opportunities to those who fairly seek them. Causing people to disappear almost like a like a magic trick powered by fear of Justice’s unfair punishments. |
Causing walls to be put up,
and bridges to be burnt down with fire fueled by hatred and oppression. We say we know Justice when a blind man can see that no such thing yet exists, and will not exist until Justice is freed. We say we are seeking a better future for all. When in truth, we are only seeking it for ourselves. The world is imploding, And instead of pushing it together We pull it apart for divided we stand. |
I am depressed
Amaranta Marty
How many times have you heard people saying: “It is my parents’ fault!” or, “I could be happier if my husband would be nicer to me.”
It all might be survival instincts to protect ourselves from the pain of accepting our responsibilities or to avoid the effort to have to work toward becoming better people but in reality, we all tend to always blame others for our mistakes and mostly, for the way we feel. continue reading |
